Anybody here familiar with this band? I kind of remember the song "Inundated Man", but even that might be a mistake. But anyhoo, they were a borderline Punk/Pop/Glam band that were actually VERY good. They have been broken up for a few years now, and then guy that was the main guy in the band started this site, on which he has posted all of the released material, along with a few unreleased tracks, plus the videos. Go to the MP3 section to get the albums. Be sure you atleast grab the "Progress" album. Damn good stuff there!

i'll bite on the mp3s (thanks for the heads up) but i am not buying this statement:
"in the tradition of bands like kiss and alice cooper, clowns for progress' unique look paved the way for many of the late 90's mainstream acts. groups like the insane clown posse, slipknot and marilyn manson"
dude, what is he on? it's kinda hard to pave the way for someone (manson) who released their first cd a year BEFORE you released yours. slipknot released their first in 96, only a year later and i don't know anything about ICP or really care to.
another thing, i would never claim to be a music know it all but i basiclly grew up hanging out in NYC on the weekends going to clubs, checking out bands, blah blah blah, and i NEVER heard of this band until right now. also, as for the 'unique' look, ummmmmm, they might want to look up Monkey from The Adicts.
BUT, like i said, thanks for the heads up on the free tunes. i'll give em a listen tonight.

Hey, I was just saying they are good (REALLY good at times) musically. Not saying anything at all about their claims to fame.

nah dude, that wasn't directed at you in the least bit.
i just love when bands think they are more important then they really are. it's really cool of him to put up all the music in mp3 format but i think he needs to take a step back into reality when it comes to the importance of his band. that would be like me claiming that since there was an article on the flatliners in metal hammer years back that we have "paved the way for many of the late 90's/2000 mainstream acts like the newlydeads and zeromancer" it's all ego masturbation. a lot of bands/musicians are guilty of it.
punk/pop/glam sounds good to me. i'll listen to progress tomorrow when i get up. if i ever woke her at 1am blasting music, especially music that she won't like, you would be reading about me in the papers tomorrow morning, and it wouldn't be pretty. unless you don't like me then you would probably get at least a chuckle out of it.
maybe i should do one of those living wills right about now. i think i want to be frozen at the last second and sent off into space so in 500 years i could land on a remote planet inhabited by 10 foot tall women dressed like lara croft in the first tomb raider. once thawed, with their advanced knowledge of medicine and their desire to save the only male they have ever seen, they would cure whatever ailed me and go about treating me like some deity. they would build statues of me, put my head on their currency, and rename the national volleyball team in my honor. when anyone sneezed they would say, bill bless you. they would feed me pineblueappleberries from titanium dishes while listening to nothing but motley crue?s ?too fast to shout in the theater ? greatest hits box set vol. 4726? it would be a total utopian state complete with dunkin donut?s coffee every morning and those little cardboard like spaceship candies filled with those little hard things everyday. life on planet bill would be A.O.K
that is until the spaceship with the monkey in it that was sent out to find me crashed landed on planet bill a few years later. at first i scoffed at the thought of a monkey ruling the planet but soon i found myself living in the slums of planet curious george. the statues were demolished, replaced by bananananana trees. the currency was replaced with bananananana and the volleyball team went 0-27. (it?s an interplanet women?s league if you were wondering) that damn monkey ruined everything. everything!
i'm gone

'kay. I'm going to need to print that out and read it again to see if I can understand what exactly you want done, and then use that in court to show them what you REALLY requested so that I can stop the lovely lady from pulling the tubes too damn early.
I know you weren't attacking me. That is why it was a "wondering" face and not the wonderful " " face. But I know what you mean. But at the same time, every band is guilty of this type of thing. Heck, if you ever read any of the Trash Brats pub, according to them, no other band on the face of the earth was wearing make-up in 1987. I think these guys are running with the general populations belief that the first Manson CD was Anti-Christ Superstar.
